Jade plants can drop leaves if they receive excessive watering and insufficient light. To prevent this, water the soil only when the top few inches are dry. If you notice rapidly falling leaves that are dry and shrivelled, it may indicate that the plant is not getting enough water. Water deeply until the excess water flows out of the drainage hole, and ensure that you check the soil regularly to avoid letting it dry out completely for extended periods.

The most common cause of yellowing leaves among Pothos plants is improper soil moisture, particularly overwatering. You should water your pothos when the top 25% of the soil in the pot is dry. The soil should remain damp, but not soggy. In the winter, you can allow your plant to dry out a little more between waterings, but be sure to increase the humidity around your plant with regular misting or by using a humidifier.
