Jade plants can drop leaves if they receive excessive watering and insufficient light. To prevent this, water the soil only when the top few inches are dry. If you notice rapidly falling leaves that are dry and shriveled, it may indicate that the plant is not getting enough water. Water deeply until the excess water flows out of the drainage hole, and ensure that you check the soil regularly to avoid letting it dry out completely for extended periods.

White spots on Jade plants can be caused by excess salt in the water or by powdery mildew. Powdery mildew is a fungal disease that can occur in areas with low air circulation and high humidity. Symptoms include small, white circular spots on the broadest parts of the plant. To treat mildew, you can mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of liquid soap, and 4 litres of water, and then spray the plant.

Make sure to check your Jade plant for pests, such as mealybugs and scale insects, as they can cause the plant to drop its leaves. These pests produce a sticky substance that attracts mold and can also deform the leaves. If you notice any signs of infestation, isolate the plant and treat it with an insecticide or neem oil.
